PE Days after Half Term

17th October 2018

Dear parents and carers,

I wish to remind you of the Rounds Greens P.E. days and kit policy.

All pupils must wear:

·         A plain white t-shirt or polo shirt (a small sportswear symbol on the t-shirt is acceptable).

·         Football tops should not be worn during P.E. lessons

·         Plain black or navy shorts, leggings or skirt

·         Black or navy tracksuit bottoms for outside P.E. only

·         Jeans are not to be worn during P.E. lessons.

·         For indoor P.E. children in certain sports will be barefoot (I.E. Gymnastics). If your child has a verruca it is no longer contagious once it shows and so P.E. will be done barefoot. If the verruca is painful, please send in a note and your child will be allowed to wear pumps.

·         For outdoor P.E. children must have a change of footwear; this can be either trainers or pumps. Trainers would be preferable as the grass may be wet.

·         Please ensure all kit is labelled with your child’s name.

For health and safety reasons please ensure the following:

·         Earrings must not be worn. If your child is unable to remove their earrings they should be removed before coming to school. In the event of a new piercing, the holes may be taped over but this must be done at home and there should be sufficient tape to prevent the ear piercing the bone behind the ear in the case of an accident.

·         Bracelets or bangles etc. worn for religious reasons must be covered over with a sweatband.

·         If your child has long hair (i.e. touching the shoulder) hair is to be tied back on PE days.

·         Your child will only be excused from P.E .for medical reasons if he/she brings in a note from yourself. As a general rule, if he/she is well enough to be in school they will be expected to take part.
