Sport Premium: 2013-2014 - Total funding; £9060 (Instalments of £5859 and £3201)





3 x Aspire Sports Days, 1 per term plus evening Inspire for parents. 


Whole school sports days held for the first time in at least 7 years.

Events very popular with adults and children involved, leading to requests for more.

Swimming  - ASA Level 1 training


HLTA now trained and supporting lessons. Increasing numbers achieving stripes.





HLTA trained, equipment ordered and Level 1 training organised for Y6. Bikeability to be part of enrichment sessions and after-school clubs in summer term.

Additional staff keen to get involved and awaiting training.

Bikes and helmets purchased and maintenance session held with group of pupils.





First phase of equipment for Bikeability in school ready for use. Reported in the media as school’s use of funding.

Zumba Instructor Training




HTLA and TA completed Zumba course and now planning to host Zumba Kids Training.


Fitness sessions to be part of sports and health week, and after school and enrichment in summer term)

Forest School Level 3


Teacher completing level 3. Forest school enrichment offered throughout year and plans to incorporate Forest School across school as part of PPA cover arrangements for 2014-15.

Climbing Trip


All staff and pupils in Y2/3 experienced climbing as part of their survival theme. The funding was used as this enabled the adults and children to access an activity they would not normally experience but is now available locally. The visit has enabled us to start building links with a new nearby leisure facility and subsequently Foundation Stage went on free trips to the venue.
